I found myself doing something the other week that really wasn’t on my agenda.
I sit on the committee for the CISI Financial Planning Conference, and part of my role involved helping to select the main keynote speakers.
What I hadn't planned on was being one of the people standing on stage.
Unfortunately, the committee chair fell ill the day before the event, and I was asked to step in at the last minute.
So there I was, dressed in a dinner suit, introducing the annual awards in front of a room full of financial planning professionals.
It certainly made a change from sitting in my office talking to clients, which is where you'll usually find me!
