Author and podcast host Justin King celebrated the launch of his latest book, The Retirement Café Handbook, with dozens of clients and contributors on 22nd September 2023. He hosted a lunch at Christchurch’s Captain’s Club Hotel and Spa, where he gave a short talk of thanks and showed testimonial videos from some of the key contributors to the podcast and book.
I was honoured to be invited to appear on Pete’s podcast this week to chat all about my one-day-old new book, The Retirement Café Handbook - Nine Accelerators for a Successful Retirement. Pete is a considered and thorough interviewer, so he posed some fantastic questions about my framework for a successful retirement, and the origin of the three levers of success (Purpose, Self-care and Planning).
We delved into some of the podcast guests’ stories that stood out from the course of my almost 5-years hosting the podcast, and how I actually tackled writing such a comprehensive book in the first place!
